‘Ariel Hyatt is the founder of Ariel Publicity & Cyber PR a New York based digital firm that connects artists to blogs, podcasts, Internet radio stations and social media sites. Over the past 14 years her firm has represented over 1,500 musicians of all genres.’

It was wonderful to see her focus and passion for supporting composers and musicians, and the tips she works to provides musicians marketing themselves online.

Taking a moment to learn more about her, I found that she has over 55,000 friends on MySpace which has led to her tracks being listened to upwards of 35,000 times. For those like myself that market themselves through social media, there seems to be real opportunity to learn some important lessons from her.

‘At age 15,she received an award for the best recording singer/songwriter at a National Talent Show. Soon after she has performed at various top venues and premiers nationwide. She has also toured Europe with different European bands where was spotted with the opportunity to be featured as a new recording artist and a songwriter.

She graduated with her Master degree in a Theory of Music and the Performing Arts from the International Music College in Moscow and few months later Ariana Jane permanantly relocated to the United States with her family. Few years later she discovered herself practicing English with ease in her musical expression.

…In 2004, by a suggestion of a well-known musician and a businessman from L.A., she struck out on her own and teamed up with a Grammy Award winner producer Michael J. Powell, with whom she worked for the next few years.

As a member of the Society of Composers and Lyricists, I have been fortunate to visit with many composers and songwriters over the last years. Now, Facebook has offered me the opportunity to also begin meeting vocalists like Sony Holland.

Having always enjoyed the piano, and previously featured Jason Farnham here in my blog, I am fortunate that friends have introduced me to Louis Landon. While I am sorry that I will miss his upcoming Piano Show as he records new music, I am very glad I have been introduced to he and his music that has been influencing people since the 1970s.

One of the highlights of the evening was the opportunity spend time with Ron Jones, a composer, who I had the opportunity to hear speak at the 2009 ASCAP Expo; ‘over 37 years, Ron Jones has dedicated himself to the art of craft of composing. Most of his creative work has involved scoring music for TV and Film projects, produced by both major Hollywood studios and independent productions companies.’
